A former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has died in London, the United Kingdom.
Family sources said the former governor passed away after battling severe heart failure and complications linked to urinary cancer.
“His health had been declining in the past months, but the final collapse came suddenly. We are devastated,” a senior family member told newsmen.
Medical officials in London confirmed that Obiano had been receiving intensive care before his condition deteriorated.
“He fought till the very last moment,” a hospital source said.
