2027: ADC Waziran Waziri Pledges 7 Million Votes for Atiku

A political group, ADC Waziran Waziri 2027, has pledged to mobilize seven million voters for former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, while emphasizing efforts to curb voter apathy across the northwestern region and the country at large.

In a statement jointly signed by Hon. Hisham Habib, the convener, and Mohammed Buhari Yunusa, the group said it has embarked on a mission to encourage citizens who have lost faith in Nigeria’s electoral process to reconsider and support the Wazirin Adamawa of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The group noted that the northwest has the highest number of votes in the country but lamented that the public’s participation in elections remains unimpressive. It stressed that confidence in the system needs urgent restoration.

“We are working to alleviate the nonchalant attitude of the people, especially those eligible to vote who ignore their fundamental right, by engaging the grassroots to join a coalition that will positively change the narrative,” the statement said.

The movement also criticized the APC-led government of President Bola Tinubu, describing its economic policies as “mischievous,” resulting in severe hardship for Nigerians. It added that the devaluation of the currency has failed to bring the promised prosperity and has instead deterred investors due to insecurity and policy inconsistency.

According to the group, the northwest region has suffered setbacks in major economic sectors such as agriculture and mining, while the federal government’s “lackadaisical approach” has yielded poor results.

The Waziran Waziri group stated that it will tour the seven states of the northwest to galvanize support for Atiku and clarify misconceptions and falsehoods surrounding the coalition and the African Democratic Congress.
