Kano ADC Chieftain Condemns Recent Bandit Attacks

A senior chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano has condemned recent bandit attacks in the state, calling for urgent government action.

Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Amin Little expressed alarm over the incidents in Shanono and Tsanyawa Local Government Areas, where eight women were reportedly abducted.

“Government must understand that its primary responsibility is the protection of lives and property. Any government that fails to secure its citizens has failed in its most fundamental duty,” Little said in a statement on Tuesday.

Little urged authorities to adopt a more proactive, intelligence-driven approach to combating insecurity. He also called on the government to provide psychological and economic support to victims and affected families.

Kano State has faced a rise in banditry in recent months, with communities increasingly vulnerable to kidnappings and raids, officials and local leaders say.
