Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Iran’s recent attacks on several Gulf and Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the assaults as “blatant Iranian aggression and a flagrant violation of the sovereignty” of the affected nations.
The ministry said the Kingdom stood in full solidarity with its neighbours and pledged to “place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake.”
The statement warned that Iran’s actions represented a “continued violation of states’ sovereignty and the principles of international law” and called on the international community to condemn the attacks.
It urged relevant authorities to take measures to “confront Iranian violations that undermine the security and stability of the region.”
The condemnations come amid escalating tensions in the region after Israel and the United States reportedly conducted strikes on targets across Iran earlier on Saturday.
In retaliation, Iran launched attacks against US and Israeli positions in the Middle East and Gulf region, as well as unspecified locations.
