Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, says President Bola Tinubu has done more for Northern Nigeria than any other leader in the country’s history.
Sani also expressed confidence that Tinubu would win the 2027 presidential election comfortably, insisting that real-life voting would favour the president despite what he described as negative perceptions on social media.
The governor spoke on Friday while hosting members of the presidential media team at a state banquet in Kaduna, where he projected that Tinubu could secure at least 70 per cent of votes in the state.
He described Kaduna as a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying the president’s performance in office had strengthened public support for his administration.
“If an election is conducted on all the social media platforms, President Tinubu will not win, but the reality will be different at the ballot box. He will record an overwhelming victory across the country,” Sani said.
He maintained that there was no significant opposition to the APC in Kaduna, adding that ongoing federal projects in the state would further boost the president’s popularity.
“President Tinubu has done so much for the North. I can boldly say his administration has delivered more for Northern Nigeria than any previous government. The evidence is visible,” he said, citing ongoing federal road and rail projects in Kaduna.
Sani also praised Tinubu’s political background, describing him as “a committed democrat and long-time activist,” while commending increased federal allocations to states, which he said had improved development at the grassroots.
According to him, stronger cooperation between the federal and state governments has enhanced governance and service delivery across the country.
“There is no opposition in Kaduna against President Tinubu in 2027. We make no apologies for that. Given his support to the state and its people, victory is assured,” he added.
