APC Chieftain Warns of Unrest Over Kwankwaso’s Alleged Control of Kano Government

Zulyadaini Sidi Mustapha, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, has publicly expressed concerns and frustrations regarding Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s association with Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

In an open letter addressed to the governor and shared on Facebook, Sidi Mustapha accused Governor Yusuf of allowing Senator Kwankwaso to influence his administration, prioritizing the senator’s interests over those of the Kano State residents who elected him.

In his letter, Sidi Mustapha, a critic of Governor Yusuf and Senator Kwankwaso, highlighted the growing discontent among Kano State residents.

He claimed that the perceived control and manipulation of the state government by Senator Kwankwaso have led to widespread bitterness and disappointment.

According to Sidi Mustapha, the people of Kano State believe that their welfare and development have been sidelined in favor of Kwankwaso’s political dynasty.

Part of his letter reads: “We urge you to take immediate action to address this situation and prioritize the interests of Kano State and its people,” Sidi Mustapha wrote. “This requires an absolute departure from Senator Kwankwaso’s influence and a clear demonstration of your independence as a leader.”

Sidi Mustapha’s letter also emphasized the need for an accountable, transparent, and responsive government that focuses on the welfare, security, and development of Kano State. He warned that failure to address these concerns could lead to further unrest, protests, and a loss of public trust.

“We warn that failure to address this situation may lead to further unrest, protests, and a loss of public trust. It is imperative that you take concrete steps to reassure the people of Kano State that you are committed to their well-being and willing to take bold decisions to ensure their prosperity,” he added.

As of now, there has been no official response from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf or his administration regarding the allegations made by Sidi Mustapha.
