The Senate has confirmed Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) following a thorough screening by Nigerian senators on Wednesday.
With this confirmation, Justice Kekere-Ekun becomes the 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria.
During her screening, she pledged to undertake significant reforms to sanitize the Nigerian judiciary.
In August 2024, President Bola Tinubu had sworn in Kekere-Ekun as the second female CJN, initially in an acting capacity.
