As the world is evolving, and things are coming closer to us than we ever imagined, we are confronted with so many challenges that need our absolute attention to solve. These challenges are part of the obstacles we face on our way to success and reaching our goals. So what do we need to do to overcome them? As people and individuals, there are many things and solutions we can apply to our challenges, while in some cases, we just take our eyes away and let what God destined to take its course.
Living in a third-world country where everything is out of reach for the poor man can be so frustrating and discouraging, especially when one cannot find a shoulder to lean on. This has made many innocent young people indulge themselves in bad attitudes and unwanted behaviors, which, in the end, led them to a regretful life. We have all read in the past how our neighbor’s child was wasted by drugs or how one of our close friends committed suicide. The stories of our young girls joining the evil act of commercial sex are no strange news to hear, but we can all help in curbing these menaces in our communities. You don’t need to be rich to save a life. All you need is a rich heart and a “giving” attitude.
Forget about the economists and their mischievous calculations. Forget about those in power with their sweet, lying talks of growing the GDP, which has never translated into the plate of the poor. They are all doing the bidding of Western Banks, the likes of IMF, World Bank, Paris Club, London Clubs, and the rest of them. Also, do not bother yourself with growing what we eat. It’s another deceit because it is only when you eat that you can grow what you will eat. Now, focus your attention on how to survive in the hardest situation. I know you are now aware that the locally produced 50kg bag of rice is above 40,000 Naira in some places when the minimum wage in the country is still below 30,000 in some states. Never mind this calculation because it has never helped the poor in the past.
Calculation never helps the poor in third-world countries. It only favors the rich and the privileged who have access to the national treasury. As a poor man, what you need to do is find solutions to the multiple problems created by those entrusted with our trust and turned it into their family’s affairs.
My brother, the common man, wake up and find solutions to your own problems and leave the calculations to the deceivers.
