A pioneering business school in Kano State, Fantel Business School, trained the 5th batch of business owners on sustainability in business management by hiring the right people and promoting a good corporate culture over the weekend in the State.
While delivering his keynote address, the speaker at the program, Ahmad Muhammad Ahmad, said there are steps that business owners should consider while nurturing their businesses.
He said, “A new business is like a baby. So, for it to grow, it has to be treated as such.”
He stressed the need to create a positive corporate culture among employees by involving them in decision-making, ensuring work ethics, assigning responsibilities to each employee, and ensuring the delegation of authority as the case may be.
In his closing remarks, the Managing Director of FANTEL, Hamza Adamu Fanda, said their company struggled to survive for the last 22 years as a pioneer communications company.
They went through odds to be where they are today. He further stated that they opened this business school to train business owners on the need to provide clear visions, missions, and core values for their organization and to make sure that they share these missions with their co-workers.
He also advised small and medium enterprises, especially in this part of the country, to standardize, formalize, and legalize their businesses by hiring the right people to do the job.
The program highlights tips for business owners on how to hire the right person and place them in the appropriate position.
