Alhaji (Dr) Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, the Emir of Gaya, has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusif’s administration, affirming that its one-year tenure has brought greater benefits to the people of Kano state compared to previous administrations.
Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim made this disclosure while giving remarks during the Kano State’s inaugural distribution of empowerment packages to 2000 people on Thursday at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.
Represented by Sarkin Yakin Gaya Alhaji Sa’idu Madaki, Sarkin Gaya, who spoke on behalf of the 5 Emirates, expressed extreme happiness with the government’s efforts under Abba Kabir’s leadership for the welfare of the people of Kano state.
He highlighted that the two initiatives undertaken by the current administration – settling pensioners’ dues and empowering people with disabilities – are substantial reasons to praise and give high marks to Abba’s Government.
“With these commendable achievements that have positively impacted people’s lives, I can confidently say that your one year in office has surpassed the performance of past governors in the state,” declared Sarkin Gaya’s representative in Hausa.
“In Governor Abba’s tenure, the state has experienced more benefits than in the years of past governments,”
Echoing the sentiments raised by Sarkin Gaya’s representative, Former Deputy Governor of Kano state, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar, thanked Gov. Yusif for his endeavors towards the welfare of the people of Kano state.
Prof. Abubakar, while elaborating on the Emir of Gaya’s message, reiterated that Gov. Abba’s administration has significantly benefited the citizens of Kano compared to previous governments in the state.
During the empowerment program for people with disabilities by the Kano state government, each of the 2000 selected beneficiaries from the 44 local government areas received a token capital of N20,000 in cash and donations of foodstuffs.
