Kano State Polytechnic Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, emphasized the crucial need for support from all KSP workers, including female staff, for the potential success of his administration to materialize.
He made these remarks during a meeting with female staff from various departments and sections of the Central Administration unit of the institution.
Asma’u Tijjani Zahraddeen, who led the entourage, in her remarks, said that they visited the Rector to congratulate him on his appointment and assure him of their support and readiness to help his administration succeed.
She also used the opportunity, on behalf of the female staff of the Central Administration, to list some of the challenges facing them, particularly the need for additional female toilets and by extension provision of a common room.
In his response, the Rector stated that the visit came to him as a surprise as he didn’t expect such an important visit from them.
He thanked them and solicited their support and commitment to their duties, assuring that his administration would continue to promote gender equality to provide a conducive working environment for all.
The Rector charged them to be steadfast in their respective duties in order to be counted among the agents who participated fully in providing a renewed KSP that harnesses its potentiality.
He further assured them that the management would take immediate action to address their challenges.
