The Kano State Shari’ah Court, presided over by Nura Yusuf, has directed the Kano TikToker, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, to undergo a psychiatric evaluation at a public hospital.
The presiding judge noted that during her previous appearance, she was allegedly not in a sound state of mind due to suspected drug influence.
Kano Times reports that Murja Kunya was arrested last Tuesday by the Kano State Hisbah Board and subsequently charged to a Sharia Court in PRP Gama area of the city.
The Tiktoker was charged with sharing explicit material on social media, constituting public nuisance and bringing unwanted company to Hotoro Tinshama area of the city, where she resides.
It was gathered that Murja was arrested following series of complaints by residents of Hotoro Tinshama, who also accuse her of recruiting their daughters into prostitution.
But the social media influencer denied all the charges read to her by the prosecutor, Aliyu Abideen.
