In a swift operation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kano Zonal Command, arrested thirteen (13) suspected internet fraudsters in the Badawa area of Kano metropolis.
Acting on intelligence reports suggesting a syndicate involved in cybercrime operating in the area, EFCC operatives launched a targeted operation.
The raid successfully apprehended the suspects, who are believed to be part of a network engaged in online scams and financial malpractices.
During the arrests, EFCC officials recovered several incriminating items from the suspects’ possession, which will be used as evidence in the ongoing investigation.
The arrested individuals are currently in EFCC custody, where they are undergoing interrogation. Once the investigation is concluded, and sufficient evidence is gathered, the suspects will be charged to court and face trial for their alleged crimes.
