A popular Kannywood actress, Saratu Gidado, known as Daso, has passed away.
The news of her demise was confirmed today by Aminci, a Kano-based private FM radio station. The station announced that her funeral will be held at 4:00 pm.
Saratu Daso, before her career in the film industry spanning 18 years, was a school teacher.
Her versatility shone through as she also appeared in English-language films, showcasing her talent across different genres.
