In a move to address traffic congestion and modernize Kano, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf initiated the construction of a N15 billion three-layer interchange bridge at Kofar Dan’agundi.
The governor inspected the project site accompanied by cabinet members, emphasizing his administration’s focus on infrastructure and education.
“We’ve established alternative routes for motorists,” stated Governor Yusuf’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature. “Adherence to safety regulations is crucial for the project’s progress.”
The project, contracted to CCG Nigeria Limited in December 2023, aims for completion within 18 months. Commissioner of Works and Housing Engr. Marwan Ahmad and Project Manager CGC Nigeria Limited Mr. Gee Wang affirmed their dedication to meeting the deadline.
This interchange bridge represents a significant infrastructure investment for Kano, supporting Governor Yusuf’s vision of modernizing the city.
