Kano Censorship Board Seeks NBC Support to Curb Unlicensed Media Content

The Kano State Censorship Board (KSCB) is seeking the support of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to address unlicensed books and films in Kano’s media outlets.

Abba El-Mustapha, the Executive Secretary of the KSCB, made the request during a visit to the NBC on Monday.

El-Mustapha highlighted the need for collaboration to enforce regulations promoting decency and societal values. He urged the NBC’s Kano coordinator to support the KSCB in enforcing these laws.

The KSCB recognizes the NBC’s role in ensuring compliance with media guidelines. El-Mustapha reaffirmed the KSCB’s commitment to upholding moral standards and fostering a responsible media environment.

The Kano State Coordinator of the NBC, Adamu Salisu, welcomed the KSCB’s visit and pledged support in achieving their goals.

Salisu assured the KSCB of the NBC’s continued support in promoting responsible media content within Kano State.
