National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members stationed in Jigawa State have raised concerns about the quality of meals provided at the orientation camp in Dutse.
According to SaharaReporters, several corps members criticized the NYSC management for offering what they described as insufficient and nutritionally inadequate food portions.
Photos obtained by the medium depict a corps member holding a small meal consisting of watery beans and a single slice of yam.
“That is what we have been facing. They have been feeding us this since we arrived at the camp. This is bad,” one of the corps members remarked.
In response, the NYSC’s acting spokesperson, Mrs. Carol Lembu, assured that the matter would be addressed, stating, “Thank you for this information. We will look into this right away.”
