The Kabir Abubakar Bichi Foundation has sponsored 200 constituents for postgraduate studies in various Nigerian universities.
This was disclosed by the Secretary General of the Foundation, Zahraddeen Bello, who said the beneficiaries include 37 PhD candidates and 163 master’s students.
Bello revealed that over ₦46 million has been committed to funding the scholarships. The program also supports students from Bichi Local Government Area enrolled in different Nigerian universities and provides assistance to science and technical boarding students, as well as educational materials for SS 1 students in the constituency.
The scholarship recipients are spread across several institutions, including:

- Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria – 19
- Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil – 26
- Al-Qalam University, Katsina – 3
- Bayero University, Kano – 95
- Federal University Dutse, Jigawa – 3
- Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina – 22
- Federal University of Technology, Minna – 5
- Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola – 3
- National Open University of Nigeria – 1
- Sa’adu Zungur State University, Gadau – 1
- Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina – 2
- University of Benin – 1
- University of Ibadan – 1
- University of Jos – 1
- Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto – 1
- Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano – 13
The initiative has been in place since Hon. Bichi’s election to the House of Representatives in 2019 and continues to provide postgraduate scholarships annually.
