Federal University Gusau Kidnap Victims Freed After Seven Months

Seven months after their abduction, students and staff members of the Federal University Gusau (FUG) have finally regained their freedom.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, the victims were kidnapped during a bandit attack in the Gusau area in February.

“All the abducted individuals have returned in good health after spending a long period in captivity,” he confirmed.

While the exact details of their release are still unclear, it is reported that security forces played a significant role in securing their freedom.
