Suswam to Tinubu: ‘Reassess Your Economic Team as Costs Skyrocket

Former Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswam, has raised concerns about the economic hardship facing Nigerians, noting that basic items like eggs have become unaffordable.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Suswam highlighted that a crate of eggs, which used to cost less than N1,000, now sells for N10,000, reflecting the sharp rise in living costs.

He urged President Bola Tinubu to reassess his economic team and address the issues affecting the population.

“A crate of eggs that was less than N1,000 is N10,000 now. So it means that me and you can’t afford to eat eggs in our houses,” Suswam said, adding that the situation has made it hard for Nigerians to afford transportation and feed their families.
