He then pursued a Diploma in Law at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1970, laying the foundation for a career that would see him rise through the ranks of Nigeria’s immigration service and make substantial contributions to national policy.
As Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Senator U.K. Umar’s tenure was marked by significant strides in immigration management.
