The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, has commiserated with the family of the late All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Bunkure Local Government Area of Kano State, Alhaji Rabi’u Halliru Gurjiya, who died on Saturday in Saudi Arabia while performing the lesser Hajj (Umrah).
In a condolence message shared through an audio recording, Dr. Mariya described the deceased as a committed politician and grassroots leader who served his community and the APC with sincerity and dedication.
She said, “I, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, on behalf of myself and my family, condole with the family of Alhaji Rabi’u Halliru Gurjiya, his relatives, the people of Gurjiya, Bunkure Local Government, and the entire Kano South Senatorial District over this irreparable loss.”
The minister also extended her condolences to the APC leadership at the ward, local government, and state levels, noting that the late chairman’s contributions to the growth of the party in the area would be remembered.
“My condolences go to the ward leadership of the APC, as well as the local government and state leadership, for this great loss. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest,” she added.
Dr. Mariya prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family, political associates, and the people of Bunkure the strength to bear the loss.
