Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director-General of Media and Publicity to the Kano State Governor, has hinted at retiring from active politics, citing a desire for a quieter and more private life.
Bature disclosed this in a reflective post on his verified Facebook page on Saturday.
“I look forward to a life behind the camera, behind politics, and behind the fight,” he wrote, adding that his future plans focus on peace, freedom, and service to humanity away from the public spotlight.
“Just a cool life, a free life, and a private life with family and friends, devoted to religion and the welfare of those around me,” he said.
The media strategist also revealed his intention to retire by the age of 50, describing it as a personal spiritual goal. “#retire@50by50%, In sha Allah. May Allah guide us on the right path, amin,” he added.
Bature is a well-known public affairs commentator and has been serving as the Director-General of Media and Publicity to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
It will be recalled that ahead of the 2023 general elections, he initially planned to contest for the House of Representatives under the NNPP but withdrew after Engr. Tijjani Jobe defected from the APC to the NNPP.
His post has since sparked reactions on social media, with many seeing it as a sign that he may soon exit public service.
