2026 UTME: JAMB publishes first batch results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, has announced the release of results for 632,788 candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on its first day last Thursday.

JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a statement, noting that the results are currently available for viewing, as the option for printing has not yet been activated.

He advised candidates to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.

Benjamin warned candidates against manipulating the SMS results obtained from the official platform to falsify scores and mislead others, including parents.

He described such actions as a serious criminal offence, stressing that the Board treats result falsification with utmost seriousness.

“Currently, two candidates and one parent are in custody for engaging in result falsification using AI and other electronic means. Any candidate found culpable will face the full consequences of the law,” he said.

He added that the UTME is still ongoing, and results will be released in batches as they become available.
