Sallah: JNC Hails Gov Yusuf Over N20,000 Workers’ Package

The Joint Public Service Negotiation Council (JNC), Kano State Council, has expressed appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for approving the payment of N20,000 as a Sallah support package to civil servants on Grade Levels 01 to 14 ahead of the Eid-el-Adha celebration.

The council described the gesture as a demonstration of the governor’s commitment to the welfare of workers in the state.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Public Relations Officer of the JNC, Comrade Haladu Musa, and signed by the council’s chairman, Comrade Hashim A. Saleh, the union congratulated the state government, civil servants, and residents of Kano on the occasion of the Eid-el-Adha festivities.

“The Joint Council (JNC) wishes to express deepest appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, for graciously approving the payment of N20,000 as Sallah Support Package to the state civil servants from GL01-14,” the statement said.

The council also extended its felicitations to the Secretary to the State Government, the Head of Civil Service, and the entire workforce in the state.

According to the statement, the union prayed for Allah’s guidance and continued support for the Kano State Government and the nation as a whole.

“We pray for Allah’s guidance and continued support to Kano State Government in particular and the nation at large,” it added.

The JNC further pledged to sustain engagement with the government to maintain harmonious industrial relations and improve the welfare of workers.

“The JNC Kano State will continue to engage government to ensure cordial relationship between government and civil servants in the state,” the statement noted.

The council also urged civil servants to reciprocate the government’s efforts by remaining committed to their duties and contributing to the development of a productive public service.

“We call on the civil servants to reciprocate government’s effort aimed at ensuring effective, vibrant and productive civil service in the state,” the statement stated.
