Alhaji Audu Manager, a prominent Kano-based oil marketer and businessman, has died in Egypt after a prolonged illness.
A family source confirmed the death to Kano Times on Wednesday, saying that the businessman passed away while receiving medical treatment in Egypt.
The source said the deceased hailed from the Kachako community in Takai Local Government Area of Kano State.
Until his death, Audu Manager was the Chairman of the Elders Committee of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Kano Depot, and the Chairman of Audu Manager Filling Stations.
The source described him as a respected businessman whose contributions to the petroleum sector and economic development of Kano State would be remembered.
He is survived by his wives, children, and grandchildren.
According to the family source, arrangements for his burial will be announced after the arrival of his remains from Egypt.
