Silver Wings Limited has organised a professional golf challenge for golfers in Kano as part of efforts to promote and support sporting activities in the state.
The tournament was held on Saturday at Kano Golf Club 1908 and attracted golfers, sports enthusiasts and other stakeholders in the golfing community.
At the end of the competition, Pro Kabiru and Pro Isaac Umoro emerged winners with a gross score of 73.
Pro Abdullahi Sulaiman finished second after recording a gross score of 74, while the first Lebanese professional golfer came third with a gross score of 81.
Other professionals who participated in the challenge included Pro Sulaiman Mallam, Pro Rabiu Sulaiman and Pro Nura Musa.
The management of Kano Golf Club commended the Chief Executive Officer of Silver Wings Limited, Ali Said, for sponsoring the event.
The management described the initiative as a major boost for professional golfers and members of the club, noting that such support would encourage the growth of the sport in Kano State.
