A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Faizu Alfindiki, has said his support for the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, is based on the lawmaker’s commitment to youth empowerment and the welfare of the less privileged.
Alfindiki stated this while explaining the reasons behind his relationship with the deputy senate president, noting that his support goes beyond political considerations.
According to him, Senator Barau has consistently demonstrated dedication to the development of Kano State and the improvement of the living conditions of ordinary citizens.
“My support for Senator Barau is based on conviction and his record of service. He has consistently demonstrated love for Kano and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of the people, especially youths and the less privileged,” he said.
The APC stalwart noted that although he is from Kano Central Senatorial District, he shares common values and aspirations with Barau, a development he said has strengthened their relationship over the years.
He commended the deputy senate president for implementing programmes aimed at empowering young people, supporting vulnerable groups and creating opportunities for communities across Kano State.
Alfindiki further described Barau as a leader who prioritises the collective interest of the state above personal ambition.
“One of the qualities I admire most about him is his willingness to make sacrifices for the unity, stability and progress of Kano. He has repeatedly shown that leadership is about service and not self-interest,” he added.
He maintained that public office holders should be assessed based on their impact on society, stressing that Barau’s interventions in education, empowerment and social welfare have earned him support across political and geographical divides.
Alfindiki expressed confidence that the deputy senate president would continue to attract support from individuals and groups committed to the development of Kano State.
“Senator Barau’s concern for the downtrodden, his investment in the future of young people and his unwavering commitment to Kano’s progress are the reasons I proudly stand with him,” he said.
