The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Friday night paid a courtesy visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Kano.
Obasanjo is currently in Kano on an official assignment.
The development was disclosed by Kwankwaso’s media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, in a Facebook post on Friday night.
According to Hassan, the visit provided an opportunity for both leaders to engage in warm exchanges.
“Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, this night paid a courtesy visit to a statesman and former President of Nigeria, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, at the latter’s residence in Kano,” he wrote.
He added, “Former President Obasanjo is currently in Kano on an official assignment and the visit provided an opportunity for warm exchanges.”
Hassan further disclosed that Kwankwaso was accompanied by the New Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate in Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, during the visit.
The purpose of the meeting was not disclosed.
