A political stakeholders’ forum in Tudun Wada Local Government Area of Kano State has declared support for the continuation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and member representing Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was made during a stakeholders’ meeting convened under the platform of Tudun Wada LGA for the Best Group, where party leaders, community figures and supporters reviewed the political direction of the area and the state.
Speaking at the meeting, the APC Caucus Chairman of Tudun Wada LGA, Nura Muhammad Dankadai, said the decision was based on what he described as leadership experience and performance across different levels of government.
“We have resolved to support leaders who have shown capacity, consistency and commitment to service. The people of Tudun Wada are convinced that continuity will consolidate ongoing development,” Dankadai said.
He described Alhassan Ado Doguwa as a long-standing political figure whose repeated electoral victories reflected the trust of his constituents.
“Doguwa has remained a strong voice for this constituency over the years. His political journey from the early democratic era to date shows resilience and loyalty to his people,” he added.
On Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Dankadai said the administration had recorded notable progress in infrastructure, social intervention programmes, and youth empowerment across Kano State.
“The governor has introduced policies that are visible at the grassroots. In the last three years, there have been interventions in roads, education support, and welfare programmes that have impacted communities,” he said.
He also commented on President Tinubu’s administration, calling for patience from Nigerians over ongoing economic reforms.
“The federal government is dealing with inherited economic and security challenges. These reforms take time, but there are signs of a foundation being laid for long-term recovery,” he said.
A member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Sule Lawan Shuwaki, also addressed the gathering, praising ongoing projects in Tudun Wada.
“The impact of projects facilitated in this area is visible. It has strengthened public confidence in the APC and encouraged continued support,” Shuwaki said.
The stakeholders pledged to mobilize support for Tinubu, Governor Yusuf, Doguwa, and Senator Kawu Sumaila in 2027.
Speaking at the event, Yusuf Musa Janmaje, a community leader, said residents had directly benefited from Doguwa’s interventions.
“Many families here have benefited from employment opportunities and educational support. Over 500 youths have also received sponsorships for their education,” he said.
Other speakers called for increased focus on youth employment, education, and infrastructure development in the area.
They also urged traditional rulers and political actors to sustain peace and unity in Tudun Wada, describing the area as a key agricultural and commercial hub that requires more government attention.
