JUST IN: Saudi Arabia announces Arafah Day, Eid dates for 2026

Saudi Arabia on Sunday officially announced the sighting of the Dhul-Hijjah moon, confirming that Eid al-Adha will be observed on Wednesday, May 27.

According to the announcement, the first day of Dhul-Hijjah will fall on Monday, May 18, marking the beginning of the Islamic month associated with Hajj and Eid al-Adha.

The Day of Arafah, considered the main pillar of Hajj, will be observed on Tuesday, May 26, when millions of pilgrims are expected to gather on the plains of Arafat to perform the key ritual of the annual pilgrimage.

Saudi authorities confirmed that Eid al-Adha, one of the most significant Islamic festivals, will be celebrated across the Kingdom on Wednesday, May 27.

The announcement is crucial for Muslims around the world, as many countries closely follow Saudi Arabia’s moon-sighting decisions in determining Islamic religious dates and Hajj rituals.
