Engr. Muaz Magaji, a former Commissioner of Works under Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has accused the Kano State Government of intimidation tactics against him and his political associates.
Engr. Magaji, known for his criticism of current Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, took to Facebook to make the allegations.
He wrote, “Kano State Government and its agents are now directing threats and intimidating messages to my person & associates encouraged by the unfortunate incident of Kaduna which was immediately condemned by KDSG. Kano State Police Commissioner and the Department of State Services (DSS) to note!”

This comes just hours after a viral video surfaced showing thugs loyal to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani assaulting Abdul-Majeed Danbilki Kwamanda, an All Progressives Congress (APC) member, for allegedly insulting the governor.
Engr. Magaji appears to be drawing a connection between the two events.
Efforts to reach Kano State Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, for comment on the allegations were unsuccessful.
Magaji’s accusations raise concerns about the political climate in Kano, particularly for those critical of the current administration.
