Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has ordered the immediate suspension of Auwalu Dalladi Sankara, Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Special Duties, from his position in the State Executive Council.
The suspension follows allegations raised by the Kano State Hisbah and will remain in effect pending the outcome of an investigation.
This development was confirmed in a statement by Malam Bala Ibrahim, Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, who noted that the decision is aimed at ensuring transparency and maintaining the integrity of the state administration.
The SSG reiterated the government’s commitment to accountability and ethical governance under the leadership of Governor Namadi.
“The suspension is a precautionary measure intended to facilitate a fair investigation,” said Malam Bala Ibrahim.
“We take all allegations seriously and are dedicated to upholding the trust of Jigawa citizens in the government.”
It was earlier reported by Kano Times that operatives of Hisbah in Kano arrested the Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara, over alleged adultery with a married woman.
The suspect was caught after the woman’s husband reported to Hisbah, suspecting that the commissioner was having an affair with his wife.
