A member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Halilu Kundila, is dead.
Kundila, 59, who represented the Shanono/Bagwai State Constituency for the All Progressives Congress (APC), passed away on Saturday night at his residence after a brief illness, according to a family source.
“The lawmaker died on Saturday night after a brief illness and had since been buried in his hometown, Kundila,” the family source confirmed.
The funeral prayer for the deceased lawmaker was held on Sunday morning at Kundila in the Shanono Local Government Area. The House of Representatives member for Shanono/Bagwai, Yusuf Badau, and colleagues from the state assembly were among those who paid their respects.
Kundila is survived by four wives and 17 children.
