Senator Ali Ndume of the Senate has criticized the recent renovation of the red Chamber, describing it as substandard.
In an interview with Channels Television’s Politics on Tuesday, Ndume highlighted several inadequacies, including a poor sound system, evident echoes, inadequate seating arrangements, and a lack of provision of voting devices.
He stated, “Since day one, precisely last week Tuesday, when we moved into this Chamber that was supposed to have been renovated, there have been complaints here and there.”
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, however, explained that 99.9% of complaints regarding seating arrangements among Senators have been addressed.
Akpabio clarified that the renovation contract was not undertaken by the 10th National Assembly.
