Kano Chief Judge, Justice Dije Abdu Aboki, transferred the corruption case involving National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and seven others to a different court.
The case, previously heard by Justice Usman Malam Na’abba at Kano High Court 4 (Audu Bako), was transferred to Court 7 on Miller Road, now presided over by Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu.
Public Relations Officer for the Kano State High Court, Baba Jibo Ibrahim, explained that the Chief Judge’s office has the authority to direct and transfer cases at any stage before a judgment is reached.
Ganduje, along with family members and other parties named in the suit, include Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Ltd, Safari Textiles Ltd, and Lesage General Enterprises.
The Kano State Government, which filed the criminal suit against the respondents, stated they have assembled 15 witnesses to testify.
