President Bola Tinubu has emphasized that his focus is not on the upcoming 2027 general elections but on restructuring the Nigerian economy to benefit the people.
This statement comes as several key figures from the All Progressives Congress (APC), including former national chairman Chief Bisi Akande, former Ogun State governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the governors of Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti states—Dapo Abiodun, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Biodun Oyebanji—voiced their support for Tinubu’s re-election and the success of all APC candidates in 2027.
Tinubu and party leaders shared their views at the 2024 South West Assembly of the APC, held on Saturday at Victoria Island. The event was hosted by Governor Sanwo-Olu, the party’s zonal coordinator for the South-West.
The assembly drew prominent party leaders and stakeholders from the region, including senators, members of the House of Representatives, State House of Assembly members, local government officials, and top APC representatives.
During the event, former Ekiti State governor Kayode Fayemi delivered a keynote address, lauding Tinubu as a “listening leader” with a steadfast commitment to success.
Represented by his chief of staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain patient with his administration, affirming his dedication to the genuine progress of the nation.
