Jamila Mani wins ticket for Mani/Bindawa Reps seat in Katsina

The Special Assistant on Girl Child Education and Development to the Katsina State Governor, Jamila Mani, has emerged the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency seat in Katsina State.

The primary election, held on Saturday, formed part of the party’s National Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mani defeated her closest rival, Ahmed Saleh, after securing 24,989 votes to clinch the party’s ticket.

In other constituencies across the state, the APC adopted affirmation exercises following consensus arrangements earlier agreed upon by party stakeholders.

The ruling party is currently conducting House of Representatives primaries across various states in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
