The MAAUN Group of Universities has congratulated the Vice Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero, on the occasion of her 56th birthday.
The congratulatory message was conveyed in a statement issued on Thursday in Kano by the Founder of the universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo.
Prof. Gwarzo, who is also the President of the Association of Africa Private Universities (AAPU), described the milestone as worthy of celebration, noting that Prof. Bayero has distinguished herself through her contributions to academia and university administration.
“It is with immense gratitude to Almighty Allah that we congratulate a distinguished scholar and the first female Vice Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero, on this auspicious occasion,” he said.
He added, “On behalf of the management of MAAUN Group, I wish to extend our heartfelt felicitations to Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero on this important milestone.”
The MAAUN founder described the celebrant as an accomplished academic and administrator who has served in various capacities with dedication and humility.
According to him, Prof. Bayero’s commitment to academic excellence and leadership has continued to inspire many within and outside the university community.
He prayed for Allah’s guidance, good health and long life for the Vice Chancellor, urging her to continue her contributions toward the growth and development of higher education.
Gwarzo also prayed for wisdom and strength for the celebrant as she continues to steer Northwest University towards greater achievements.
