Atiku Awards Full Scholarships to Three Yobe-Born Global Champions

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has offered full scholarships to three students from Yobe State who won top prizes at the TeenEagle Global Finals.

In a letter dated August 5, 2025, and signed by the Secretary of the Atiku Abubakar Foundation, Prof Ahmadu Shehu, the students – Nafisa Abdullahi, Rukaiya Mohammed Fem, and Khadija Kashim Kalli – were congratulated for what the foundation described as an “outstanding performance.”

“The Atiku Abubakar Foundation is delighted to learn of your outstanding performance at the TeenEagle Global Finals, where you emerged as global winners in various categories of the competition,” the letter read.

“Your remarkable success is a testament not only to your academic excellence but also to the boundless potential of all children to achieve their dreams, regardless of gender, social class, or background.”

The letter said the foundation would sponsor the remainder of the students’ secondary school education and their university studies at any institution of their choice.

“As the platform that coordinates the philanthropic activities of H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON – renowned for his commitment to quality education in Nigeria – the foundation reaffirms its dedication to supporting education, particularly for girls and other vulnerable groups,” it added.

The message ended with, “We wish you continued success in all your future endeavours.”
