The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has fixed May 25, 2026, for the conduct of its presidential primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party also pegged its presidential nomination form at N100 million.
ADC disclosed this in a timetable released on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.
According to the party, the timetable contains guidelines and requirements for the nomination of candidates for various elective positions, stressing its commitment to internal democracy and compliance with the Electoral Act.
The timetable showed that the collection of application forms commenced on April 1 and will end on May 4, 2026.
It added that the sale of nomination forms would take place from May 5 to May 10, while submission of completed forms is scheduled for May 11 to May 13.
The party said screening of aspirants would hold between May 14 and May 15, with the publication of screening results fixed for May 17.
It further stated that appeals arising from the screening exercise would be entertained from May 18 to May 19, while the final list of cleared aspirants would be released on May 20.
According to the timetable, primary elections for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate seats will hold simultaneously at the ward level on May 21.
Governorship primaries are scheduled for May 22, while the presidential primary will be conducted on May 25.
The party also fixed May 26 for its National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting and May 27 for a Special National Convention for the ratification of candidates.
On the cost of nomination forms, ADC said governorship aspirants would pay N50 million, while Senate aspirants are to pay N20 million.
The House of Representatives nomination form was pegged at N10 million, while State House of Assembly aspirants are expected to pay N3 million.
The party, however, announced a 50 per cent discount for youths, as well as a 25 per cent reduction for women and persons with disabilities.
ADC urged aspirants and stakeholders to strictly comply with the timetable and guidelines, noting that the party remains committed to credible leadership recruitment ahead of the 2027 elections.
