The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has embarked on a sensitization campaign in Bunkure Local Government Area to emphasize the importance of the National Anthem and National Values Charter in Kano State.
The Director General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, stated that the renewed National Anthem and National Values Charter aim to elevate the country’s status and instill a sense of patriotism among citizens, starting from the grassroots.
“Our goal is to illuminate the values of peace and harmony in Nigeria, and this initiative is one step towards achieving that,” he said.
Mallam Issa-Onilu further stressed that both Nigerian citizens and the government must understand their roles in building the nation.
“The success of this approach depends on the active participation of everyone. We need to intensify our efforts, especially in hard-to-reach areas such as nomadic settlements, to ensure no community is left behind,” he added.
In her remarks, the Community Orientation and Mobilization Officer, Mrs. Grace Musa, called on Nigerians to unite beyond their diverse norms and fight against corruption.
“We must come together as one nation and shun the divisions that hinder our progress. Corruption can only be defeated when we are united in our values,” she emphasized.
