The APC Christian Forum has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in their alleged neglect by some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State.
The forum made the call in a statement signed by its Chairman, Emmanuel Agbakoba, and Secretary, Benjamin Aman.
The statement alleged that those entrusted by President Tinubu with the responsibility of distributing palliatives in the state had neglected not only the Christian APC Forum but also the Christian community in general.
The forum appealed to the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and the State Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, to address their concerns regarding the neglect of APC members and the broader Christian community.
“We voted for the APC at all levels, including Kano. However, what worries us the most is our neglect by some leaders in matters that benefit party members.
“The most recent issue is the Christmas palliatives. The President sent them to Christian communities across the 35 states, but Kano was excluded.
“The economy is unstable, and we are facing hardship. It is unfortunate that during the palliative distribution, the Christian community was not recognized. Now, it is Christmas, but none of us has received anything to ease our hardship or help us celebrate the season.
“We are calling on the President and the National Chairman of our party to intervene and grant us the same recognition as other states in the federation.
“The neglect is too much, and we need urgent action on this matter,” the statement concluded.
