The Kano State Polytechnic’s School of General and Remedial Studies (SGRS), in collaboration with its Entrepreneurship Education Directorate (EED), held a one-day training session for administrative staff.
The event, held on Thursday last week, included practical sessions on workplace techniques, etiquette, and institutional best practices.
Speaking at the opening, the Director of SGRS, Malama Halima Salihi Ahmad, said, “We want our staff to be more efficient and productive by equipping them with practical skills that align with the Polytechnic’s rules and regulations. It is also about building a work culture rooted in confidentiality, workplace etiquette, integrity, and professionalism.”
The Director of EED, Abdulkadir Aminu (Zanna), said, “This program reflects our dedication to nurturing a professional and ethical workforce that will continue to move the institution forward.”
In a goodwill message, the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, said, “We will continue to support initiatives that develop our staff and contribute to the growth of the Polytechnic.”
The sessions were facilitated by Comrade Jamilu Haladu, Deputy Registrar of SGRS, who led practical exercises and shared his administrative experience.
According to the Polytechnic’s Head of Public Affairs, Auwal Ismail Bagwai, the event was “a resounding success, with participants leaving better equipped to handle their duties with competence and integrity.”
