The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has unveiled the ‘Tinubu Again’ movement, targeting more than 20 million votes for President Bola Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Matawalle made this known after his return to Nigeria, where he was received by members of the movement.
He said the movement would soon be formally launched and taken to the grassroots across the country, adding that 50 vehicles had been provided to support its mobilisation activities.
“We have to go down to the people to inform them and create awareness about what this present administration is doing, what Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing for the people,” he said.
Matawalle said the movement would engage Nigerians through door-to-door campaigns to explain the policies and programmes of the administration.
He said the mobilisation would also cover APC candidates contesting governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State Assembly elections.
“This movement is ready to mobilise more than 20 million to ensure the success of all APC candidates, both national and state,” he said.
The minister urged Nigerians to be patient with the administration and support Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“My message to Nigerians is to be patient and vote Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he means very well for Nigerians,” he said.
Matawalle expressed confidence that the movement would deliver Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
“We are taking all these messages to the grassroots, and we assure you that at the end of the day, we’ll come out victorious,” he said.
He also assured members of the movement of his commitment to supporting its activities.
“I assure them that I will do everything possible to ensure that this movement will deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insha Allah,” Matawalle said.
