The Rector of the school, Dr Abubakar Umar Faruk, gave this information yesterday during and interactive session with newsmen in his office.
He said that Kano Poly is committed to teaching young men and women skills that ensure self-reliance by awarding National Diploma (ND), Advanced Diploma and Higher National Diploma (HND).
This, he said, makes the youth engaged with, committed to a positive course and productive as against the temptation to drug addiction, thuggery and other vices when they don’t go to school.
The Rector added that as long as the community will embrace education and skill as a criterion for employment and professionalism, then commitment to crimes will be significantly reduced in Kano state and the country as a whole.
He further urged businessmen and artisans across Kano and other states to come up with plans and frameworks to take advantage of all the supports provided by the government and aid organizations.
Finally, he advised students, who intend to join Kano Poly to visit the school and get information that is relevant in pursuing their education and training in the school.
