Jafar Sani Bello, a former aspirant for the governorship under the Peoples Democratic Party, has characterized the administration of Abba Kabir Yusuf as akin to that of TikTokers.

Bello, a prominent PDP figure in Kano state and former aide to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, made this assertion via his verified Facebook account, as reported by Kano Times.

In a post written in Hausa, Bello referred to the government as “A Government of TikTokers.”

This statement comes amidst controversy surrounding the arrest of Murja Kunya for allegedly violating Kano’s moral code.

Kano Times has reported that Murja Kunya was apprehended by the Hisbah Board last week and subsequently appeared before an Upper Shari’ah Court at Kwana Hudu in Nassarawa local government area of the State. She faces allegations of sharing explicit video content on a social media platform.

The court has ordered her to be taken to a public hospital to ascertain her mental health due to suspected drug influence.

The judge ruled that the defendant would remain in the custody of the Kano state Hisbah Board which will be giving the court updates on her condition.
