As Muslims around the world celebrate the start of the new Islamic year 1446, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has extended his felicitations to the Muslim faithful on this significant occasion.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor urged Muslims in the state to use this day, the first in the Islamic calendar, and the public holiday on Monday, to reflect on the past year and engage in beneficial activities.
Governor Yusuf also called on the people to fervently pray to Almighty Allah for continuous peace, stability, prosperity, and economic development in the state and the nation.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to implementing and initiating policies and programs that will directly benefit the lives of Kano State’s citizens and empower them to become self-reliant.
