His Highness, the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, has extended his warmest felicitations to the people of Kano on the successful completion of the Islamic calendar year 1445 AH and the commencement of 1446 AH.
In a statement signed by Sa’adatu Baba Ahmad and released to newsmen in Kano today, the Emir offered his sincere wishes for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead to the entire Muslim community. He particularly extended his best regards to His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The Sarkin Kano invoked divine blessings for the nation, President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and Sultan Abubakar Sa’ad, recognizing their dedication to promoting peace, unity, and progress within the Muslim Ummah and Nigeria at large.
He prayed for an end to conflicts among Muslims and for the harmonious harnessing of Nigeria’s diversity for the betterment of all citizens in the coming year and beyond.
Additionally, the Emir admonished the nation to maintain peace and stability during the celebrations marking the Islamic New Year.
