The Jigawa State Government has challenged politicians and political appointees to remain committed to supporting party members at all levels, stressing that unity and strong grassroots engagement are vital to sustaining the strength of the ruling party in the state and beyond.
Governor Umar Namadi made the call on Thursday during an empowerment programme held at the Manpower Development Institute, organised by the Tinubu–Danmodi Automatic Ticket initiative, led by Hon. Adamu Alhassan Indallah.
Represented by the Commissioner for Basic Education, Hon. Lawan Yunusa Danzomi, the governor urged beneficiaries of government patronage, including political appointees, elected officials and contractors, to imbibe the culture of supporting others.
“Whoever has the means should support people around them. Help your families, relatives, friends and communities so they can feel the impact of government, especially during this period of hardship and the Ramadan season,” Namadi said.
He noted that such support would ease pressure on government while strengthening public trust and promoting shared responsibility among party members.
The governor assured that the state government would continue to back individuals and groups that show genuine commitment to uplifting their people.
He also commended the organisers of the empowerment programme and advised beneficiaries to utilise the support judiciously to improve their livelihoods.
Earlier, an All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain and Chairman of the Tinubu–Danmodi 2027 Automatic Ticket initiative, Hon. Adamu Alhassan Indallah, said the empowerment exercise was aimed at rewarding party members who contributed to the party’s success.
According to him, over ₦30 million was distributed to more than 1,000 beneficiaries as start-up capital to help them establish small-scale businesses and become self-reliant.
Indallah pledged to sustain the initiative, noting that it aligns with Governor Namadi’s 12-point development agenda for the state.
